We are looking for a Business Analyst for our client in the financial industry Job Description: The work to be done is to work with data quality and data flows, creating data-capabilities such as reconciliation and working closely with change teams to secure implementations work well. This involves writing SQL code and being able to read other programming languages as needed. The activities involve ensuring that issues in data quality can be detected and addressed, and that the flow of data between systems is fully understood and documented. Additionally, controls are to be established around data quality and the data flows (i.e. reconciliation) to ensure the right data is received. The role entails working in big data platforms and other relevant databases, writing queries to perform analyses but also to creating more lasting repeatable capabilities. Required skills: Familiarity with data concepts (data quality, data lineage), familiarity with ETL processes and technical development, ability to write at least SQL, other programming languages such as python are a plus. Understanding of architecture concepts and data modelling a strong benefit. Use of PowerBI, and/or at least the ability to visualize data. Use of Hadoop, familiarity with databases e.g. Oracle.
