Solution Architect (External Consultant) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to support ongoing digital and cloud-driven initiatives. The consultant will play a central role in designing modern, scalable, and secure solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring strong architectural governance, high-quality integrations, and close alignment with business stakeholders. The role requires a senior architect with strong technical depth, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into robust architectural designs. The consultant must be comfortable working in a fast-moving enterprise environment and collaborating across IT, business, and vendor teams. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture — Design end-to-end solution architectures across Azure-based platforms and enterprise systems. Microsoft Azure — Develop cloud architectures leveraging Azure services, security models, integration patterns, and best practices. Integration Architecture — Define and oversee integrations across internal systems, external partners, and cloud services. Diagramming & Documentation — Produce clear architectural diagrams, models, and documentation for technical and business audiences. Product Evaluation — Assess technologies, platforms, and tools together with the business to ensure optimal fit and long-term value. Stakeholder Collaboration — Work closely with business owners, IT teams, and leadership to ensure architectural alignment and shared understanding. Technical Guidance — Provide direction to development teams and vendors, ensuring solutions follow architectural standards. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience as Solution Architect in enterprise environments. Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, security, integration services). Solid experience with integration architecture, APIs, messaging, event-driven patterns. Strong capabilities in diagramming, modelling, and architectural documentation. Experience conducting product evaluations with business stakeholders. Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience working with cross-functional teams and external vendors. For one of our financial clients we are seeking a consultant to support on an assignment related to its AIFMD reporting obligations, which encompasses both operational support for recurring AIFMD / Annex IV reporting processes and regulatory change analysis and implementation support regarding upcoming changes under AIFMD II / AIFMD 2.0. The role is crucial to ensure compliance and operational resilience amid evolving regulatory landscapes. Main Responsibilities: Maintain timely, complete and accurate AIFMD reporting during the engagement period. Assess current AIFMD reporting processes, data flows, controls, and ownership, identifying gaps between current-state processes and upcoming AIFMD II requirements. Translate regulatory changes into practical business, data, system and control requirements. Support implementation of required process, control and documentation changes. Provide subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders across Compliance, Operations, Legal, Risk, Data, IT and Fund Administration. We are looking for a Senior Automation/IT Work Package Owner/ Project Manager to support a major API expansion project for a pharmaceutical client in Kalundborg. The consultant will lead the Automation/IT work package during Conceptual Design, defining the scope and preparing a complete basis for Basic Design and potential later execution. Main Responsibilities Own the Automation/IT work package, including scope, deliverables, schedule, cost estimates, resources, risks, interfaces and changes Define and coordinate scope across DCS, batch and recipe management, historians, reporting, IT/OT infrastructure and system integration Translate process and engineering requirements into clear and testable Automation/IT requirements Identify and resolve scope gaps, dependencies and technical risks Develop RFI, RFQ and RFP packages Define supplier boundaries, deliverables, milestones, testing and acceptance requirements Lead technical bidder clarifications and supplier evaluations Support supplier selection, award and mobilisation Review supplier design documentation and prepare the work package for Basic Design and execution Ensure compliance with GMP and relevant validation and data integrity requirements Key Requirements 6+ years of Automation/IT CAPEX experience, including substantial pharmaceutical or biotechnology projects Experience as an Automation Project Manager, Automation Lead or similar Strong pharmaceutical DCS and batch automation experience Knowledge of ISA-88, ISA-95, batch execution, recipe management and process historians Proven experience developing RFI/RFQ/RFP packages and evaluating technical supplier proposals Experience working with EPCM organisations, engineering partners and system integrators Experience from major greenfield pharmaceutical projects Good knowledge of GMP, GAMP 5, data integrity, CSV and CQV Experience with API/Drug Substance projects, ABB 800xA, AVEVA PI, brownfield environments and previous Novo Nordisk projects would be an advantage.
