The Senior Data Architect is pivotal in shaping the enterprise data architecture, focusing on the design of conceptual and logical data models to enhance Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and consumer data transformation. This strategic role involves defining enterprise-wide data models and establishing information blueprints implemented by engineering teams, ensuring information accessibility and trustworthiness to support analytical insights and AI innovations, furthering our clients ambition to be the leading company in their field globally. Main Responsibilities: Lead enterprise information architecture design and create semantic, conceptual, logical models for implementation. Architect data product interfaces and semantic contracts to establish interoperability between data products. Develop architectural blueprints for core application transformations ensuring a seamless data transition. Review and approve physical model proposals from engineering teams. Define modeling standards for operational and consumption-ready data products. Create information value chains and clear contracts for data product specifications. Map business capabilities to information domains, following Domain-Driven Design principles. Provide architectural oversight through design reviews and decision records. Mentor teams on data architectural best practices and maintain documentation of anti-patterns. Key Requirements: 8+ years as a practicing data architect with production experience in enterprise-scale architectures. Proven experience in architecting shared data models using modern lakehouse patterns. Ability to create semantic layers and logical models with business adoption success. Practical experience across multiple modeling paradigms appropriately applied. Strong understanding of Azure data platform capabilities to guide architectural decisions. Track record of guiding teams through major transformations, particularly SAP migrations. Excellent stakeholder communication skills, bridging technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborative leadership style that encourages decision-making within teams. Experience in establishing reusable patterns and reference architectures for efficiency. Ability to translate logical models into physical implementations effectively. Nice to Have: Experience creating architectures that scale from MVP to enterprise solutions.
