Lokation: KøbenhavnOverview An experienced Senior Cloud Architect is required to support ongoing cloud adoption and modernization initiatives. The consultant will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing Azure-based infrastructure with a strong focus on security, governance, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Azure, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and hybrid cloud architectures, along with solid proficiency in SQL for data-related tasks and troubleshooting within cloud environments.Main Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of Azure cloud infrastructure according to the architectural principles and governance model. Support the adoption and rollout of Infrastructure-as-Code, GitOps practices, and automated deployment pipelines. Develop and maintain cloud environments including: Management Groups and Landing Zones Policy as Code (Azure Policy / Terraform) Azure Networking (VNets, Private DNS, Firewalls, Private Endpoints) Identity and Access structure in Azure Build and maintain Terraform modules, automation scripts, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. Design and automate private DevOps agent images and build processes. Support Azure Automation initiatives (Runbooks, Automation Accounts, scheduled tasks). Work closely with cloud, security, network, and DevOps teams to ensure alignment and high-quality delivery. Provide architectural guidance, technical documentation, and expert advice to stakeholders. Perform SQL-related tasks such as: Supporting cloud migrations involving SQL workloads Designing secure and optimized SQL architectures (Azure SQL, Managed Instances, on-prem hybrids) Troubleshooting performance and connectivity issues Writing and reviewing SQL queries when needed for cloud integrations Ensure compliance with standards, governance, and security requirements. Key Requirements 10+ years experience in IT infrastructure or cloud architecture roles. Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and hybrid cloud solutions. Deep knowledge of Azure networking, security, governance, and identity components. Proven experience implementing Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform. Skilled in Azure DevOps (pipelines, repositories, automation). Practical experience with SQL (Azure SQL, SQL Server, performance tuning, migrations). Experience building automated infrastructure workflows and reusable components. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams. Experience working in agile environments (Scrum/DevOps). Nice to Have Experience with Policy as Code frameworks and enterprise governance patterns. Knowledge of automation tools such as Azure Automation, Bicep, or PowerShell DSC. Familiarity with container platforms (AKS, Docker). Experience in railway, transport, or regulated industry environments.
