Backend Engineer

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain backend services in a modern cloud-native AWS environment. Core skills & experience: Strong experience as a Backend Developer, building and maintaining scalable APIs and backend services Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions / GitHub Workflows Strong development experience with TypeScript and .NET (C#), including building and operating production services Familiarity with AWS Cloud, including deploying and operating backend workloads in AWS Experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Related technologies / domain knowledge: Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and/or event-driven backend services Understanding of cloud-native patterns (stateless services, scaling, resiliency, observability) Experience working with relational databases (SQL) and backend integrations Nice-to-have / preferred experience: Experience with containerized workloads (e.g. ECS Fargate or similar) Experience with Lambda functions Familiarity with IAM and AWS security best practices Exposure to data platforms or ETL-heavy environments Experience working in environments with high operational and security requirements General expectations: Able to take ownership of backend services from development through production Comfortable working closely with platform, data, and operations engineers Focused on clean code, automation, and reliable delivery through CI/CD Used to working with SCRUM principles, preferably in JIRA Fluent English Other Details: The role is designed for a cloud-native environment, supporting development across various backend services focused on scalability and security.

Electrical Design Engineer

Role Objective We are seeking a proactive, flexible consultant to support offshore wind farm projects. You will deliver high-quality power system studies primarily in PSS/E (RMS/steady-state) and PSCAD (EMT), collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, and adapt to evolving project priorities and workloads. Main Responsibilities You will support projects at various phases (development, design, execution, and operation) by conducting studies and providing grid-connection support. Scope includes: Develop, integrate, and validate EMT and RMS models for relevant assets (e.g., WTG, plant controller/PPC, HVAC/HVDC interfaces, STATCOM/SVC as applicable). Plan and execute grid compliance and design studies in PSS/E (load flow, short circuit where applicable, dynamic RMS performance, contingencies, sensitivity studies). Plan and execute EMT studies in PSCAD (faults and disturbances, control interactions, protection-related phenomena, insulation coordination, energization, converter/control performance, harmonic/transient behaviour as relevant). Work with vendor/OEM models: coordinate provisioning, model validation, parameterisation, updates, version control, and fit-for-purpose application in studies. Produce clear, audit-ready documentation for internal review and external submission (e.g., grid code evidence packs, study reports, model validation notes, assumptions and limitations). Summarise findings and recommend mitigations, ensuring technical quality aligned with methodologies and QA processes across multiple projects and stakeholders. Key Requirements Degree in Electrical/Power Systems Engineering (BEng/MSc/PhD) or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience with PSCAD for EMT studies (including relevant add-ons/modules and analysis workflows). Strong, proven experience with PSS/E covering steady-state and RMS dynamic analyses for grid compliance and design work. Demonstrated experience working with vendor-supplied models (confidential models, black-box components) and parameterisation for compliance evidence. Scripting/automation skills for study execution and post-processing (e.g., Python for PSS®E, MATLAB/Python for result handling; tooling to improve repeatability and QA). Experience coordinating with OEMs for model delivery, validation, and updates; strong data confidentiality practices. Strong communication skills, able to produce concise technical reports and stakeholder-ready material. Ability to work independently while following established methodologies, documentation standards, and QA processes.
